The Praetorian Guard was an elite unit of the Imperial Roman army who
were tasked to guard the Roman emperors and political officials.
Praetorian is also the original form of the surname Pretorius. Therefore
it was a natural choice when a decision was to be made for the name of a
business specialising in secure solutions.
Praetorian Solutions Pty Ltd is a father and son
business that specialises in high-end wireless network solutions,
security cameras, storage solutions and backup power solutions.
The father, Gerhard Pretorius, is a graduate engineer from the University of Stellenbosch, who grew up in Durbanville, Western Cape and spent a number of years working in large scale power generation. Gerhard is an entrepreneur at heart and has had a number of businesses, including a distribution business for computer components and a training business which offered solar and battery backup courses as well as health and safety courses. Since 2018, Gerhard has been doing wireless installations that deliver great connection speeds and stability. His understanding of all things technical gives him an edge to find a solution that fits the client's requirements.
The son, Jonathan Pretorius, has been hard at work on the various projects of Praetorian Solutions. His understanding of the camera setups and installations is phenomenal and his quality of work of a very high standard.
This dynamic duo is extremely particular in the products and services
